SUDAN CRISIS
My name is Janet Melissa Nuru , I am from Shattay village in Dafour, part of the Southern Sudan region , I am now in Gambia where i am leaving with my Grand Mother following the gruesome murder of my Parents in Darfur SUDAN.
My Late Father Mr Nuru Timothy was a recognized/rich herds of Cattle owner by our standards he was also a local chief in our village Shattay, among other chiefs reconginzed as the leading elders seeking for equal treatments of all sudaneses, we Shattays are predominantly Christians and my Mother was from Gambia i was told by my Late Father that he worked as Catholic Cook to Finish Reverend Father served at a Catholic Mission in Banjul Gambia but when i was born and he was getting old he retired and went back to Sudan his Native Country with me and my Mother.
My Father amongst other Christain Chiefs/Elders were highly critical of the introduction of the Sharia Islamic laws to the entire Sudanese Populace in defiance or contrary to the divergent religious and cultural ethics and inhabitations of the Southern Sudanese populated mostly by Christians and the Northern Arab Muslims who grossly dominate the Government corridors and thus impose rules on we Christian southerners, my Father and these few other leaders challenged this religiously orchestrated Sharia Islamic laws as been imposed and they took up their criticisms and challenges to the UN headquarters and with threat of sanctions from the UN the Government of the evil man Gen Omar Hassan Ahmad El-Bashier the President of of my Country relinquished their selfish drive to impose Sharia Laws on we non-muslims,The Government of Gen Omar Hassan Ahmad El-Bashier has also realized that the discovery of Petroleum at our southern region of Sudan especially in Dafour,for these and other reasons we the Southern Christian Sudanese has suffered for so long in the hands of the Northern Muslims.
On the 26th of March 2003 a group of Horse riding Militia called the Janjaweed mostly Pro-Government and religiously prejudiced, attacked my Village and started killing, shooting and raping, the houses of the chiefs including my late Father was the first attacked, it was at night I was told, I was away in school at the Capital City Khartoum and my parents were gruesomely murdered, they (Janjaweed fighters) were searching for Christians, luckily I escaped with the help of a sympathizer who new that I would be an easy target been a Christian, the Daughter of a murdered local Chief and from Darfur.
I am now in Gambia with my Old GrandMother,i am asking and pleading very passionately for your assistance to enable me release the sum of US$1.2Million deposited by my late Father at a Finance Company in Europe, my late Father had mean't to use the money to purchase milk processing machines for his Cattle ranches/Farm before the war broke out and he was murdered along with my Mother.
Sir I need your assistance to enable me have the money transferred to your Bank, I have lost my only family , although i am living with my aged grandmother she is too old to assist me in any form,moreover she has virtually lost her sight,if i am able to have the money released, i shall be able to get back to school, take care of my aged GrandMother and possibly keep her at the care of old peoples Home and proceed to US or any Europen Country where i can conclude my Education, I need to go over to a country where I can start my school again and have some freedom, with this money released, I will be able to earn a better leaving,care for my Grand Mother and invest in your establishment if we reach a compromise, such i will not be a burden on you financially.
The United Nations, European Union,Asia blocks, humanitarian groups has done their best, but the unwillingless of the Janjaweed Fighters backed by the Government's to stop the killings scares me to death, i cannot go back, i have no parents, i can only look up to my future in Country where freedom is gauranteed.
I shall be willing to let you have 23% of the total sum or have it invested in your establishment,I am prepared to meet with you if you can come to see me.
