We hope you all arrived in safety at your homes! Besides that we hope
all of you had an unforgettable great and inspiring experience in
Turkey.
As most of you already know, Christian Cnobloch, a member of the
Romanian delegation, has had a serious motorbike accident during the
social programme day. Fortunately he recovered from his subarachnoidal
haematoma and his health is no longer in danger. Due to the
circumstances of the accident his medical insurance is not valid and
high medical costs are expected. These costs are around 2500 �, but they
are likely to be higher when everything is calculated.
Therefore a motion (see below) was tabled and adopted nemo contra during
the last plenary of the MM2005 so ALL NMOs supported the initiative!
This motion stated that all NMOs, the OC of the MM2005 and other private
donors are being encouraged to send money to the sub-account of IFMSA.
We will keep you updated on all relevant issues.
For now we would like to ask you kindly to take the content of the
motion into account and discuss with your National Board how much money
you can donate. Please, imagine that somebody from your NMO was in this
situation! Try to keep in mind that a suitable donation can make a
difference. This money doesn't have to come from your annual budget,
please think about breaking into your financial capital for this
situation.

During the social programme day of the IFMSA March Meeting 2005,
Christian Cnobloch, a member of the Romanian delegation, had a motorbike
accident. Due to the circumstances of the accident his medical insurance
is not valid and high medical costs are expected. We do not currently
have a good estimate of what these costs will be. This motion aims to
find a temporary solution to cover these costs.
Motion
An IFMSA sub-account will be created to pay the medical bills of
Christian Cnobloch. To ensure the payments promptly the IFMSA Treasurer
is authorized to use IFMSA capital reserves for the treatment and care
of Christian Cnobloch. The IFMSA Treasurer will keep the records of this
account.
>From today on, we encourage all parties to send money to this
sub-account. The parties include Christian Cnobloch, the Organising
Committee of the March Meeting 2005 and the National Member
Organisations of the IFMSA and other private donors.
By the first of May, the IFMSA Treasurer should report to the National
Member Organisations on the costs and donations. After this, further
decisions can be taken by the Executive Board and, if necessary, by the
members at the August Meeting.

Does anyone know if Mr. Schiavo has attempted to get a divorce? I mean
wouldn't that be the obvious solution for him? I honestly don't think he
can divorce this woman since she is unable to sign on it or however
divorces go. Anyone have information on this? Other than that, I have to agree with the last poster, Bernado. After 14
years or so, it seems her state is hopeless. Had she been doing rehab
before the insurance ran out? And we all should know how expensive it is
to stay in the hospital one night, let alone 14 years, since we are
becoming physicians (my one night stay was 600 bucks, roughly). I don't want to come off as cruel or uncaring, or that its all about the
money but if she has done rehab and didn't show improvement in the 8
years she was on insurance, what else is there to do? Is it that easy
for him to give up care of her to her parents who want to keep her alive?
If so why hasn't he done that? Seems simple enough. If anyone has
answers please by all means let me know so I can better construct my

If your e-mail address is floating around on the Internet, then you're
just asking for a massive dose of spam. Most of us just can't help the
fact that our addresses are out there for everyone to see. Whether
it's on our Web site, message boards, or any other location for that
matter, both people and spam bots can harvest our addresses. Even if
you don't think that yours is public, it's probably still located
somewhere in the depths of this tangled web of information. One method
of protection from the spam assailants that you can use is something
called Email Cloaker for Web. This program takes your e-mail address
information and spits it out into your selection of three cloaking
methods. The so-called unbreakable method provides you with your very
own contact form that people can use to e-mail you. Just give them the
address to this personalized page, and they can message you by using a
nice system that includes a verification code. This works nicely. The
JavaScript and HTML cloak options aren't as secure as the
aforementioned method, but they will help to fool some of the
uneducated bots. This program won't completely erase spam from your
Inbox, but it will help to decrease some of the potential load.

Traceless is a privacy cleaner for Internet Explorer that can delete
common Internet tracks, including history, cache, typed URLs, cookies,
and more. It allows you to keep a list of cookies based on keywords
found in the name so that they are never deleted during cleanup
operations. The cleanup can be run manually, or automated either on a
schedule (day, time) or whenever Windows starts. In addition,
Traceless can also maintain your browser homepage settings. A small
and easy to use tool that performs a basic cleanup with the added
convenience of getting it done automatically.

If you've used a keyboard long enough, or have ever taken a typing
course, then the chances are that your fingers move swiftly across the
keys. To be honest, I never learned how to type. I peck at the
keyboard like nobody's business, though. I've competed with some of
the fastest typing maniacs that I know, and keeping up with them has
not been a problem. I know it must be scary to watch. I'll learn how
to type one of these days, but it's just not high on my priority list
since I feel so comfortable doing what I do now. In order to see how
fast your fingers can dance, just download the free typing program
called Speedometer. You can't help but immediately notice that the
program's interface resembles that of an alternative to Windows that
rhymes with "knack." This program can keep track of your speed in any
program that you type in. Just click Record and start typing to have
the program monitor the activity. It'll tell you everything you would
like to know, such as current typing time, words per minute,
backspace/delete percentage, and so on. Speedometer even keeps track
of your best words per minute figure so you can document your progress
and attempt to beat your previous record as time goes on. I don't know
about you, but I experienced some weird visual effects when dragging
my mouse over the buttons on the interface.

WabMail is a small and simple tool that makes it easy to quickly
retrieve a plain list of e-mail addresses that are contained in your
Windows Address Book (.WAB) file. The WAB allows you to export the
content to a comma delimited file, however, this may be way too much
for your needs. If you just want a simple list of the e-mail addresses
and nothing else, WabMail will automatically detect your default
address book, open it, and present you with a simple list, one e-mail
address per line, that you can copy. Useful for creating a white list
for your anti-spam program, a mailing list, or for similar purposes.
